About Maria Zabeti

Hi, I’m Maria Zabeti, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Based Online in Chino, CA, and throughout California.
In my practice, I offer individual counseling with adults ages 18 to 65 from all walks of life, men and women who have experienced overthinking, sadness, and traumatic experiences and are ready to find new ways of coping and healing. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel truly seen, and begin to understand yourself in new ways.
What You Can Expect in Therapy
You know that moment when someone finally gets what you’re trying to say, even the part you didn’t have words for yet? That’s what I try to create in every session. Because being understood matters, my focus is on truly hearing you.
My clients often say things like, “I’ve never said that out loud before.” Not because they’ve never tried, but because no one’s really listened like I do.
When you’re with me, I’m not rushing to fix or analyze. I’m listening because I truly want to understand. I want to hear what you’re really saying, the full story, the stuff under the surface, the parts you maybe haven’t even figured out yet. And I’ll give you the space to say it all…or sit in silence, if that’s what you need.
That deep sense of being understood is what inspired me to do this work. It comes from my own experience of knowing how powerful it feels when someone truly listens.
Why I Became a Therapist
I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to need someone to simply be there. When I was younger, I needed someone who could listen without judgment. When I was feeling sad and anxious about life, I didn’t need advice or a quick fix; I needed someone who could sit with me, hear me, and not judge the thoughts running through my mind. I longed for someone who could understand the complexity of it all… someone I could actually relate to.
That experience stayed with me — and now, I get to be that person for others. I want someone who listens deeply and gets it. As a result, I understand the power of being truly heard.
When you’re ready, I’m here. Let’s take the next step together.
Over time, I’ve found that therapy works best when it feels collaborative and grounded in trust. That’s why I take a practical yet compassionate approach to the work we do together.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I use evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you work through negative and anxious thoughts while helping explore unhelpful patterns.
I also offer Brain-spotting, a powerful approach for processing difficult emotions and traumatic experiences. Together, we’ll find what works for you, at your pace. You don’t have to have it all figured out; just bring yourself, and we’ll go from there.
Outside of my sessions, I practice the same principles I encourage in therapy, creating space for joy, balance, and connection in everyday life.
🚲 A Glimpse Into My Life

When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me riding my electric tricycle through town, it’s my favorite way to recharge and clear my mind when I begin overthinking. I believe in living what I teach: caring for the body, nurturing the mind, and grounding the spirit.
My daily routine includes exercise, plant-based meals, essential oils for focus, and meaningful time with my husband and close friends. I love traveling throughout California and beyond, exploring new places and connecting through deep, heartfelt conversations.
If you are ready to have a heartfelt conversation, I will be here to chat.
